YCAH doulas are certified individuals who provide emotional and physical support to birthing families throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period. A doula can serve as a companion, support person and even a birthing coach for laboring mothers. No matter what your pregnancy plan looks like, a doula can be a helpful addition to your care team.

What does a Doula do?

Labor Doula Timeline of Care and Support

• Initial visit at 20 weeks
• Third trimester consult/doctor visit
• Patient labor and delivery care
• Post-delivery meeting
